This cell delivery process relies on the Flattened Droplet™, a proven technology for embryo transfer. Controlled by a computer, the new process successfully deposits multiple microdroplets of culture medium which contain stem cells. Similar to inkjet printers, the technology loads the droplets from an in-vitro dish and then “sprays” them, innovatively creating uniform patches on the target in-vivo tissue.

This new process, developed by Berger Thermal Research, is extremely gentle. By using low pressure and velocity, trauma to either the target tissue or the delivered cells is avoided.

The new process also allows the following:

• Uniform cell distribution across target tissue.
